South Beach Park gives Boca families wide-open Atlantic exposure with consistent surf and clearly defined rip current channels. This is exactly the kind of environment where real rip current identification, assessment, and escape skills are learned - skills that protect kids for life on any open beach.

The Boca Raton Inlet produces powerful, tide-driven currents that form, shift, and reverse with the tides. Learning how inlet currents behave is one of the most valuable open water lessons a young swimmer can carry - knowledge that transfers to every inlet and pass in Florida and beyond.

Saturdays — Deerfield Beach Pier (closest to Boca Raton)
Meet your instructor on the sand beside the Deerfield Beach International Fishing Pier. Just a 15-20 minute drive south from Boca Raton via A1A or I-95. Public pay-by-plate parking is steps away — arrive 15 minutes early.

Sundays — Miami Beach (South Beach)
Our Sunday sessions run at South Beach (11th Street beach access, Lummus Park), about 50 minutes south. A good option for families who prefer Sunday or want the South Beach setting.

Liability Waiver & Release

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

I, the undersigned parent/guardian, acknowledge that ocean-based aquatic activities carry inherent risks including but not limited to: drowning, near-drowning, strong currents, marine life encounters, sun exposure, physical injury, and other hazards associated with open water environments.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK

I understand that The Shore Academy conducts instruction in open ocean waters where conditions are variable and unpredictable. I acknowledge that even with qualified instruction and safety protocols, risks cannot be entirely eliminated.

WAIVER AND RELEASE

In consideration of being permitted to participate in The Shore Academy's programs, I hereby waive, release, and forever discharge The Shore Academy, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during participation.

MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION

I authorize The Shore Academy instructors to seek emergency medical treatment for my child if necessary during sessions. I confirm my child is in good physical health and capable of participating in strenuous aquatic activities.

SWIMMING PREREQUISITE ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I confirm that my child is a proficient pool swimmer, is comfortable in deep water, and has completed prior swimming instruction. I understand The Shore Academy is an ocean navigation program, not a learn-to-swim program.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

Full payment is required upfront to reserve your session. A $50 cancellation fee applies if you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled session. There are no refunds for no-shows. Failure to attend a session without prior cancellation results in forfeiture of the full session fee. Weather-related reschedules initiated by The Shore Academy are not subject to cancellation fees.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO CONSENT

I grant The Shore Academy permission to photograph and video record my child during sessions for the purposes of providing session media to families and for marketing/promotional use, unless I opt out below.

After submitting, our team will call to confirm readiness. Full payment secures your spot. $50 fee for cancellations within 24 hours. No refunds for no-shows. Full refund if we determine the session is not the right fit.

Yes, absolutely. The Shore Academy is an ocean navigation and safety program for anyone - children, teenagers, or adults - who already swims independently. Every student must be able to swim confidently in a pool, tread water comfortably, and be at ease in water over their head. If you or your child are still learning to swim, complete pool lessons first and then join us. We are not a learn-to-swim program. We are an ocean mastery program.
