Just across the bridge from West Palm Beach, Midtown Beach on Palm Beach island is a lifeguarded Atlantic shoreline with open-ocean exposure and the classic sandbar rip currents students learn to read and escape.
The Lake Worth Beach pier creates well-defined rip channels on either side - a clear, real-world setting for learning rip current identification and escape technique with certified instructors.
Singer Island's Ocean Reef Park, north of West Palm Beach, features a nearshore reef and variable surf, offering diverse conditions from calmer reef-protected water to active open Atlantic.
“My 9-year-old was terrified of waves. After just two sessions with The Shore Academy, she was reading the water and navigating the surf on her own. The 2:1 instructor ratio makes all the difference. Absolutely world-class.”
“We drive down from Singer Island and it is the best investment we have made in our kids' safety. Certified lifeguards who have done hundreds of real rescues.”
“The professional video of our session was incredible, but the real value is the ocean knowledge my daughter now has for life.”
